IMPORTANT UPDATE, AS OF 01/05/2026
As of today, I have reached the Online Website orders of December 8th. Still a little over 100 behind.
Time to clarify a lot of misinformation that’s out there!....this is essentially what has been posted on this HomePage for some time now, but in more detail.
As of tomorrow, I am taking NO website orders or phone-orders during the entire month of January. WHY?---because
(A) I have been so overwhelmed with orders for the past 4 months (actually almost 6 years!) that I am WAY behind. Filling & shipping 6-1/2 days a week, all the time, I am currently over 100 orders behind.
So I hope to get caught up during January.
(B) In addition, working almost every evening, I have finally separated almost all the Sales Categories on the website into two separate categories----equipment vs parts. One of the largest---Diesels---was just completed. Steam Engines is next. When all are done, it will allow me to eliminate the equipment categories, but leave the Parts categories intact and active early in 2026, and for the sale of the Parts business. I expect to complete this separation during January. And
(C) I have had NO time to initiate an adequate inventory of my AF Parts portion of the business, and without that, I cannot even begin to discuss the same with interested parties (and there are 7). So I need some uninterrupted time to tackle that task too. That's my plan for January, and I hope to be ready to re-open the Parts portion of the business in February.
A secondary need, but it can wait, is to begin to organize the entire equipment inventory portion of the business (and most of my personal collection) for submission to an online auction house later this year.....but this is not a January task.
Finally, a related and MORE important factor is my wife's health, which is requiring a great deal of my time (and I do NOT mean that as a complaint! It obviously is first & foremost! )
Due to all of the above, I ask for your patience and understanding, and as stated on my website, if you can't wait, then I understand, and I recommend Todd & Bev Metcalf at Trains & More in CT for your AF parts needs.
FINAL COMMENT: All should feel free to post any/all of this information elsewhere, including appropriate FB pages. I don't have the time to do a lot of that. Thanks to all of you for your understanding............
Port Lines has been in the "S" business since about 1985.
I have grown to the point that today, I believe I offer one of the largest varieties of AF repair and restoration supplies and parts available anywhere in the country! QUALITY is foremost in my product line. I will not stock lesser-quality parts just because they are cheaper. I carry the best quality part available, even if it means a slightly higher price.
In addition to the AF parts segment of my business, I stock products from a large number of S suppliers and manufacturers.
