Crown Models produced a series of injection-molded plastic refrigerator cars in S-gauge during the late 1990s. Only about 12 road names were ever produced, before production ceased. These cars model the rebuilt wood-sided reefers that ran from the 1930s on. Wood sides were retained, while roof and ends were replaced by steel. They were available with either scale or highrail trucks, produced by either S-Helper Service or Ace Model Railroad. Highrail versions included operating Am Flyer-compatible knuckle couplers (also from S-Helper Service). Cars were ready to accept Kadee couplers (not supplied). 

Port Lines served as Crown Models’ exclusive distributor of these general production reefers. Car selection, as well as ALL wholesale and retail sales were handled by us.

At this time, we have left in stock only a very limited supply of Crown reefers.
