SHIPPING & INSURANCE

MINIMUM ORDER:  My minimum order is $10.00. 


SHIPPING: We do not back-order items unless we fully expect to be able to ship the item(s) in question within about 10 days. Otherwise, we will refund.

 

At the present time, my standard shipping charge is $10.00 for priority mail for up to a 1 pound package. For small, light-weight orders under 13 total ounces, I can ship first-class mail for $5.00.  For an order that includes only a small quantity of decals or stickers (which can be mailed in a standard envelope), the shipping charge is only $1.00 (This does not include dry-transfer lettering which is too easily destroyed in an envelope by the pressure of postal machinery.)


Shipments that exceed one pound will be invoiced appropriately, with only a small handling/packaging charge included. Orders that include spray paints, boxes, books, track, or roadbed will almost always exceed 1 pound, and incur that higher shipping charge. 


NOTE: Aerosol spray-paints must ship by Parcel Post, Ground only, and must be hand-delivered to the post office. We do this only once a week, usually on Saturday mornings. Both of these factors will result in slower delivery than our normal Priority Mail shipments, and will always result in an increased shipping

cost.


SHIPPING INSURANCE: We have discontinued all USPS and FedEx insurance coverage of our outgoing shipments. Instead, we have contracted for blanket insurance coverage through a third-party insurer. The result of this is that we can provide you with insured shipments for a very reasonable cost. We will insure any Priority Mail or FedEx shipment within the USA for only $1.00 per $100 (or portion thereof ) of coverage. (This coverage does not apply to any international shipments, nor to shipments which include aerosol spray paints. ) We retain the right to require and bill insurance coverage on any shipment if we deem it advisable.


INSURANCE CLAIMS: If your package is either lost or damaged in transit, retain all original packaging. Notify us and we will replace your shipment (if possible), and we will process the insurance claim. Should you choose not to insure, we will not be responsible for any loss once it is in the hands of the carrier. 


Please note that your shipping labels will not carry any obvious indication of insurance coverage even though you have requested and paid for it, but it will have been applied to the shipment. We hope this very reasonable rate of coverage will benefit all involved.


PAYMENT: After you submit an order, we will invoice you for payment as soon as we have your order ready to ship. Do not expect this invoice immediately! You will then have the option to pay by your chosen method. VISA, MC, DISCOVER, AMEX, and PAYPAL are all accepted, as well as personal checks or money orders. International personal checks and bank money orders are not accepted, but Int'l Postal Money Orders are. With your permission, we can keep your credit-card preference securely on file so that you may submit future orders quickly via e-mail.
