| 7/28/2008 | We are told that the 587 Block Signals are enroute from Lionel at this time, along with several new freight cars from the 2008 line. |
| 7/28/2008 | The LIONEL Fall Catalog 2 has been released. You can find it on the Lionel website. The only new AF items are a 3-car set in the blue-&-yellow paint scheme, to match the earlier GP diesel, bxcar, and caboose. This 3-car set includes a stock car, 3-dome tank car, and gondola with coil covers. MSRP: $160. We are now accepting advance orders for this item. The remaining items in the fall catalog are carry-overs of prior releases, including the Big Boy locomotive (now upgraded to Legacy control system as a built-in option). |
| 7/21/2008 | EKH Decals has been the primary manufacturer of quality AF reproduction decals for many years. The owner has decided to retire from the business, and we have just concluded the purchase of the entire EKH prewar and postwar decal inventory, as well as all artwork and production material. We will be carrying on this wholesale and retail business henceforth. |

| 7/3/2008 | PINE CANYON MODELS has decided to close the doors and retire. The business is for sale, but meanwhile, we have purchased their entire remaining inventory of S-scale structure kits and detail parts. The structure kits have already been integrated into our PCM online inventory and Shopping Cart system. The detail parts have not. That probably will not happen until late-August or September, after the NASG national convention. |
