ELECTRONIC REVERSE UNIT  (Dallee Stock # 400)

The ELECTRONIC "E" UNIT provides direction sequencing of locomotives that are designed to operate with AC track power. Our ELECTRONIC "E" UNIT provides the user with greater control at slower speeds since it is completely solid state! There are no relays to activate or drums to turn yielding positive control with power engaged to the motor at very minimal track voltage.

This new design (Item #400) replaces ALL of our other "E" units.

This ELECTRONIC "E" UNIT (1" by 2.1" by approx. 1" in height) is designed for universal use. It will provide sequential direction control for wound field series type motors and for the later locomotives with permanent magnet DC motors. It has a continuous duty capacity of four (4) amperes of current flow, sufficient for a two motored locomotive. While most operators will use AC track power, this "E" unit will also sequence with DC track power. The initial "power on" state is user selectable so you can decide if you want the locomotive to start in either FORWARD or NEUTRAL. If power is off for approximately 6 seconds, the "E" unit will reset to its initial "power on" position.

$44.95 each

MINI-TOGGLE SWITCH (Dallee Stock # 524)
Used with the #400 electronic e-unit to "lock" it in one direction.  Easily connected to the #400.

CONSTANT INTENSITY LIGHTING STRIPS (Dallee Stock # 379)

These 16" strips can be broken into smaller strips for a variety of uses in smaller cars or buildings. Each strip includes 4 lamps that can be positioned in any of 16 positions, and they reach maximum intensity at 4.5 volts. Usable with AC, DC, or DCC. Lamps will accept maximum voltage of 25VAC or 35VDC, resulting in long-life in most RR applications!

$24.95 each (three are shown here, with lamps in various positions).

Dallee #379 (above), as installed in an American Flyer 650 coach.

"The Detective" EL-4  senses minute changes in current flow within a section of track to which it is connected.  It works with AC, DCC,  and conventional DC.  It detects anything drawing current, like an engine, a lighted passenger car or caboose or the 7210 searchlight car. There's a time delay to prevent the circuit from "hiccupping", so it stays "detecting" for a couple of seconds. The circuit board is only 1-1/4" square, and uses very few parts------less stuff to go bad and can be mounted on or under the layout.  It's output is a relay, to control almost any accessory you choose to use it with. Easy to wire, it runs on 12-16 volts AC or DC so no "filtered" power supply is needed-----------just run it off the base and the 15v terminals of your transformer. No soldering required.

Instructions included.

Only $22.00

Here's an example of how the DETECTIVE (above) is used to activate a Crossing Gate. Connections are very simple.

"F.R.E.D." (Dallee Stock # 556)

FRED can be powered by a 9 volt battery, fixed voltage (4-20 volts) AC or DC, or by track power. The electronic circuitry produces a high intensity flash of a red LED and is usable atop water tanks, towers, ambulances, fire trucks, locomotives, cabooses or as "end of train" devices. FRED is the brightest in the industry it uses an ultra bright LED not commonly found on such units.

$19.95 each.

Strobe   (Dallee #546)
Essentially the same unit as "FRED", above, but utilizing an 1/8" yellow LED instead.

19.95 each.

DALLEE SOUND UNITS
are available for many different steam applications. All are small enough to be used within S-scale equipment; a sample is shown here, inside an AF Atlantic plastic tender.  All sounds are digital recordings of actual equipment. Play the real WHISTLE the way you want to, dips & all.  Hear the real BELL operate. Hear the EXHAUST CHUFFS increase to your selected speed. Listen for the BLOWERS, AIR PUMPS, and SAFETY VALVE while your locomotive is at rest under fire.

Many different DIESEL units are also available.

Inquire about available applications, and costs.
Most sound units are under $125.

 TRAK-DTL  (Dallee #366)
This relay has double pole, double throw (DPDT) contacts so it can be wired as a polarity reversing switch. This allows the TRAK-DTL to be used to automate reversing loops or to provide a continuous "back and forth" operation on a single track such as for a trolley car or on a work bench, utilizing DC track power.
In order for the electronics to function properly it is essential that a "regulated" power supply of 12 VDC be employed. This 12 VDC power is only for the electronics and has absolutely nothing to do with track power. Failure to use a "regulated" 12 VDC can cause erratic functioning or actual destruction of the TRAK-DTL. For proper power supply, use Dallee # 369 12VPS .

OPTICAL DETECTOR OPTO-DT1  (Dallee Stock # 552)

The OPTO-DT1 (Item 552) is a detection device in which the output relay (Double Pole Double Throw) is activated when the optical path of an infra-red beam is interrupted. The infra-red beam is generated by an input set (optical coupler) consisting of an emitter (looks like a black LED) and a detector (looks like a clear LED). The emitter and detector are mounted on the layout so as to establish a line of sight beam across an area where detection is desired. The emitter and detector can be separated by more than 6 feet, but must be precisely aligned. To assist in this alignment, there is a green LED on the OPTO-DT which illuminates when proper adjustment is achieved.

The OPTO-DT1  has two distinct modes. In NORMAL mode, with the time adjustment at minimum setting, the relay will be activated (on) when the infra-red beam is interrupted, and relaxed (off) when the beam is restored. As the time adjustment is increased a minimum (on) time for the relay is established. When the beam is broken the relay is (on) for at least the minimum time period. If the beam remains interrupted beyond the minimum time period the relay stays (on) until the beam is restored. In TIMER mode, when the beam is broken, the relay is (on) for the duration of the time adjustment, then relaxes (off). The relay will not again activate until after the beam is restored which will allow the time circuit to reset. This time adjustment is variable from momentary to about 60 seconds.

NOTE:  The electronic circuitry must be powered by a "regulated" 12 volt DC supply (our 12VPS, item #369) in order to function properly. Failure to use this  "regulated" supply can destroy the electronics.

#552 OPTO-DT1:  $59.95

#369 12VPS Regulated Power Supply:  $19.95

#690 Wall transformer (will power 2 units): $19.95

Regulated 12-volt Power Supply  (Dallee #369 )

Input to the 12VPS should be 14-20 volts AC which can come from the accessory terminals of most power packs or from a separate transformer.

The 12VPS is "regulated" so it can supply a consistent 12 volts DC to numerous devices regardless of how many of these devices are activated at any one time. It can be used to power 12-15 separate Dallee electronic components that require regulated 12-volt power.

$17.95

(SPECIAL: $15,  in combination with any Dallee component which requires its use.)
